Quick Answer

Look directly at a placed pot and press E to open the Pot Menu. If the quest asks you to assign a drone, choose Drone Care at the top of the screen. It is not in the plant-information controls at the bottom.

Open The Pot Menu And Assign Watering

  1. Buy a drone from the shop and make sure it is available at the drone hub.
  2. Open the skill screen from your inventory.
  3. Find Drone Activity: Watering and long-press Hold to acquire. A short click only previews the skill and does not unlock it.
  4. Walk to the pot you want the drone to care for and look directly at it.
  5. Press E once to open that pot's menu.
  6. Select Drone Care at the top of the screen and assign the watering task.

If Drone Care Does Not Appear

  • Confirm that Drone Activity: Watering is actually acquired, not merely highlighted in the skill screen.
  • Confirm that you bought the drone before trying to assign it.
  • Re-open the menu while aiming at the pot itself. The drone option belongs to the pot menu, not the drone hub.
  • Look at the top edge of the screen. Players commonly search the lower plant-information row and miss it.

Verification

This sequence is verified for the demo from a Steam discussion resolved on August 10, 2026. The original player confirmed the long-press skill unlock; another player identified Drone Care at the top of the Pot Menu. Recheck the labels after the September 7 full release.

What Each Pot Menu Action Does

The Pot Menu belongs to the pot you are currently looking at. That distinction matters because opening the inventory, drone hub, or general shop does not configure an individual planter. The seed controls let you work with the current planting slot. The far-left removal option removes the plant; opening the same menu again after the plant is gone lets you remove the soil. Drone Care connects automation to that specific pot.

Press E, not hold E, when opening the menu. If the interaction prompt does not appear, move closer, center the crosshair on the pot rather than the plant leaves, and try again. A shelf or another object can sometimes make it unclear which object is targeted. Moving to the side of the planter can give the pot a clearer interaction outline.

Common Mistakes

  • Opening the drone hub and expecting to assign every planter from there.
  • Looking only along the bottom of the Pot Menu, where the plant details appear.
  • Clicking the watering unlock once instead of holding the acquire control until it completes.
  • Trying to assign care before a drone has been purchased.
  • Aiming at the plant, shelf, or nearby furniture instead of the pot itself.
  • Holding E and triggering a different interaction when a single press is required.

FAQ

Does every pot need its own drone assignment? The demo flow assigns care from an individual pot menu, so check each planter you want automated rather than assuming one global switch covers the room.

Why can I see plant information but not Drone Care? First confirm the watering ability is acquired and a drone is owned. Then look at the top of the menu, not the information controls below.

How do I empty a planter? Press E on the pot and use the far-left removal option for the plant. Open the empty pot again and repeat the removal action for its soil.

Will the full game use the same menu? The current instructions describe the demo. The basic interaction may remain, but names and layout can change in version 1.0.
